As you may already know, Paul Edmonds London are the Official Hair Partner of the EE British Academy Film Awards and the salon cannot be more excited to share the BAFTA journey with you. Being a BAFTA partner allows Paul Edmonds London to style the stars hair at the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 18th February but in addition to this Paul’s super salon squad will be styling locks at many events throughout the year. The first event that Paul Edmonds London as the Official Hair Partner of the British Academy Film Awards took part in was the EE Rising Star Awards. EE Rising Star Award Winners

The EE Rising Star Awards recognises new talent within the acting industry while also being an award category at the British Academy Film Awards ceremony. The rising stars included in the category can be seen to go on and star in blockbuster films, making it a category for those set to be hot in the industry – kind of like a sneak peak!

Within the 2018 EE Rising Star category, the five talented nominated individuals are Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Pugh, Josh O’Connor, Tessa Thompson, Timothée Chalamet. Mr Edmonds as a BAFTA member will be voting for the Official EE British Academy Film Awards winners but the EE Rising Star award is selected by you! This category is the only award that is voted by the public so everyone can have a chance of BAFTA voting! To cast you vote, just click here.

Daniel Kaluuya hit our screens last year for when he stared in Get Out, the film he won an MTV Movie Award and was recently nominated for a Golden Globe, Screen Actor’s Guild Award and Gotham Award in the category ‘Best Actor.’ Kaluuya has also been seen in TV shows such as Skins, Psychoville and Black Mirror.

Florence Pugh last year’s BAFTA Breakthrough Brit made her film debut in The Falling where she was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the BFI London Film Festival Awards. Pugh will be starring in Netflix’s Outlaw King and the BBC’s The Little Drummer Girl.

Josh O’Connor was named Screen International Star of Tomorrow and BAFTA Breakthrough Brit last year. O’Connor starred as the lead role in God’s Own Country and has also been seen in TV dramas Peaky Blinders and Ripper Street. Look forward to seeing star in The Durrells later this year.

Tessa Thompson the female lead in the Thor franchise and memorable role in the film Selma. Thompson hit Hollywood screens when we starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in Bianca in Creed. Look out for her in the up coming Sorry To Bother You and Annihilation.

Timothée Chalamet leading star in Call Me By Your Name has previously received the Lucille Lortel award Best Actor for his performance in John Patrick Shanley’s play Prodigal Son. Catch him next staring in the film Hostilles opposite Christian Bale and Rosamung Pike.
