Get Your Festival Head On

Festival Season is here! And with it comes the chance to do things you wouldnt normally do with your hair. So cut loose and have fun!

Paul Edmonds loves the classic festival look: “The ethereal look was a key trend on SS15 catwalk so braid or plait the hair placing beading or a few flowers into the section of the plait for the girly chic look. You can practice a couple of easy braids to switch styles for Day 2 hair ensuring it doesnt look too perfect. Don’t forget to take bands to hold the ends.”

Our Creative Colour Director Vernon Deysel says “Greys and metallics are a major trend this season… and given a bolder twist with drifts of iridescent multi-tonal shades of dark grey to shimmering blue greys and silver, make it look fresher and more youthful. Colour is no longer about static all over colour but instead is an intelligent application of layered stratified colours placed on panels and balayage pieces to add future depth and dimension.”

Gemma Humes the Afro specialst at Paul Edmonds London points out “Individuals with chemically relaxed hair should consider using coloured clip extensions, weave or a full-on hair piece similar to the route taken by Jourdan Dunn. Remember that Afro hair tends to be fragile and colour over relaxed hair can be damaging.”

4. Rain? No problem! Quickly make it into a pony tail! Twist it round until you get a rope and then wrap initiate a bun and fix with you favourite festi-hairband. This way when it dries you will have a perfect festival style beachy wave. All you need do then is apply some mouse and run it through with your fingers to break up any loose ends – this will give you bouncy hair and volume.
