The Launch of La Parisienne at Sofitel St James

French style, fashion, hair and beauty have never been so in right now, with editors de jour all writing about the easy classic style with those effortlessly quirky touches that those Parisienne’s enjoy.

This year Paris fashion week launched on the 27th of September. To coincide with this homage to great style so did the private viewing of La Parisienne at the Sofitel St James in London.

Sofitel Hotel in London St James for the next month will showcase and celebrate a traveling exhibition featuring astonishing photographs of some of the worlds most famous woman, and to further merge the worlds of photography and fashion, blogger and Paul Edmonds London client Ella Catliff (who has a lifestyle blog under the name of La Petite Anglaise) has curated a series of stylish experiences for hotel guests to enjoy as part of the La Parisienne exhibition.

France, Paris, 17 novembre 1964, l'actrice italienne Sophia LOREN s'installe dans la capitale française avec son époux, le producteur italien Carlo Ponti. In Ella’s words “During my time in Paris I truly fell in love with both the fashion world and also the imitable, intoxicating, effortless style of the woman I encountered there. La Parisienne has long been a source of fascination and imitation, the muses may change, as might the brands du jour, but the essence and all importantly, attitude of this French fashion icon have not”.

When you enter the Sofitel St James, the hotel has designated a room for the La Parisienne exhibition on the ground floor, a special La Parisienne cocktail has been designed by Cointreau which you can enjoy during your stay.

Ella introduced the exhibition and her curation of the La Parisienne style experiences which hotel guests can enjoy. It really is the full Paris a la Londre including a personal stylist and a personal shopper with Gabrielle Teare, a series of hair styling options by our very own Paul Edmonds London dream team. Of course, for that effortless Paris look, you will get your own make up artist.

The photographs are a stylish inspiration so even if  you are not staying you should try the La Parisienne Afternoon tea or the Champagne and caviar tasting menu.

But most importantly of all remember that you can always enjoy your every own La Parisienne styling here at Paul Edmonds London.
