THE 3 KEY HAIR TRENDS THAT WILL BE EVERYWHERE THIS SPRING

Spring has sprung, which means it's the perfect time to shake up your look with a fresh new cut or colour.

This season, we predict there will be three major looks that will dominate the fashion and beauty world: bouncy blowouts, bobs and red tones.

These may seem like vastly different styles, but there's one thing they all have in common.

"The overarching theme is that people want to be lots of different things - they like saying who they are with their hair and also having versatility with how they style it," says Paul Edmonds.

"They've got, for example, their daytime 'going to the gym' look and their evening glam look, so their hair might be tousled and sporty or sexy and elegant."

Blowouts, bobs and scarlet hues can all be tailored according to your taste and styled to suit your mood. You could even combine them for a truly bespoke approach.

Here, we take a deep dive into the season's hottest hair trends…

THE BOUNCY BLOWOUT

As seen on Miley Cyrus, JLo, and Beyonce in her Cowboy Carter era, the voluminous blowout is as glam as it gets.

Senior director Siobhan Baynes says: "It's very glamorous, quite over the top, for when you want to be the centre of attention. It's not subtle, it's saying 'I'm here, my hair's here!' I love it."

THE SASSY BOB

Under the bob umbrella there's a huge range of styles to choose from if you're in the mood for a major change.

"Bobs are great for people who have had long hair for a long time and they're a bit bored of it," Paul says. "They're ready for a whole new look, they want it to look a bit sassy, a bit edgier."

Inspired by influencers and celebs, we talk through seven brilliant bobs for every hair type.

THE RAVISHING RED

Pop stars like Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish can't get enough of the red hair trend, which ranges from strawberry to burgundy.

Paul says: "Spring is a great time to try red because everyone's a bit bored, especially this year when the weather has been so dull. It's great if you're thinking, 'I need to revitalise my look and my mood!'"
