Introducing the incredible Oribe Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment
There's shiny hair, and then there's glass hair.
Inspired by the Korean beauty trend for 'glass skin,' meaning a super-hydrated and dewy-looking complexion, glass hair is the pinnacle of glossy, healthy locks.
While hairdressers can easily create the look in salon with professional-strength glaze or gloss treatments, it's been difficult to replicate glass hair at home - until now.
Introducing Oribe Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment, your shortcut to beautifully shiny, ultra-soft strands.
Created by the experts at luxury hair brand Oribe, this one-step, one-minute formula delivers unbeatable smoothness and mirror-like glossiness whether your hair is poker-straight, curly, or anywhere in between.
As the hotly-anticipated product lands in salon and online here's everything you need to know about Oribe Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment…
HOW DOES ORIBE MIRROR RINSE GLASS HAIR TREATMENT WORK?
Inspired by luxury skincare, Oribe Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment is similar to the kind of hydrating serums you use after cleansing your face.
Powered by Oribe's plant-based Signature Complex combined with trademarked Glass Hair Technology and a potent but gentle polymer blend, the salon-grade formula works on three fronts, resulting in soft, light-reflecting locks.
"Edelweiss flower aids hydration and protects hair from future degradation, along with watermelon and lychee to prevent further oxidative stress," explains Yashar Rasekh, managing director at Paul Edmonds London.
"The result on hair is that it works by flattening and coating the hair cuticle, thereby making it super shiny and also locking in colour."
The plant extracts act as a lightweight moisture-retention barrier, while the polymers (a key ingredient in conditioner) sleeken strands and improve manageability.
The mirror-like effect is clinically proven to last through 15 washes, according to trials, but the treatment can be used weekly to maintain maximum shine.
HOW DO YOU USE ORIBE MIRROR RINSE GLASS HAIR TREATMENT?
The treatment is designed to be used once a week as part of your hair washing routine.
"Start with an Oribe shampoo, either the Brilliance & Shine range or you can use a shampoo that has another benefit, like Beautiful Color or Moisture & Control," Yashar says.
"When you have rinsed your hair, gently squeeze out excess water then apply right the way through from root to tip. Leave it on for one to two minutes then rinse and style as normal using Orbie styling products."
Because the Mirror Rinse treatment has conditioning effects, you don't need to follow with conditioner. However, if your hair is thick, coarse or very dry you might prefer to use conditioner first followed by the treatment to provide more moisture.
